Feelings 02

Learn how to talk about feelings in Thai in this second lesson on emotions! Through simple pictures and short scenes, you’ll hear how to say you feel displeased, satisfied, startled, excited, surprised, gloomy, and sad. Each feeling is repeated in three natural patterns, like เศร้า, รู้สึกเศร้า, and มีความรู้สึกเศร้า. You’ll hear them with different people and pronouns, in situations like waking up late, going to a concert, and spotting a friend at the library.

Thai Vocabulary:
ไม่พอใจ (mâi pɔɔ-jai) – Displeased / Dissatisfied
ตกใจ (tòk-jai) – Startled / Shocked
ตื่นเต้น (tʉ̀ʉn-tên) – Excited
ประหลาดใจ (prà-làat-jai) – Surprised
ซึม (sʉm) – Gloomy / Down
เศร้า (sâo) – Sad

Learning Thai through repetition and pictures helps new words stick naturally. Keep listening, keep learning, and enjoy your Thai journey!
