Thank You
Learn the many ways to say thank you in Thai! Starting with a simple ขอบคุณ, this lesson builds up step by step: adding polite particles, making it stronger with มาก and มากๆ, and naming the person you’re thanking. You’ll then learn to thank someone for a thing, like flowers, a gift, coffee or information, and for an action, like picking you up, dropping you off or caring about you. Every phrase is given in both female (ค่ะ / นะคะ / ฉัน) and male (ครับ / นะครับ / ผม) forms.
Thai Vocabulary:
ขอบคุณ (kòp kun) – Thank you
ขอบคุณสำหรับ... (kòp kun sǎm-ràp...) – Thank you for... (a thing)
ขอบคุณที่... (kòp kun tîi...) – Thank you for... (doing something)
ขอบคุณที่เป็นห่วง (kòp kun tîi bpen hùang) – Thank you for caring about me
Repeat each phrase out loud and you’ll soon be thanking people naturally in everyday Thai!
