Problems

Everyone has problems, big or small! In this lesson, you’ll learn how to talk about problems in Thai, from small everyday ones like messy hair and long nails to big ones like having no money, no food, or no clean air. You’ll also hear how to describe who or what causes a problem, how to apologize for making mistakes at work, and what it means to run away from your problems instead of facing them.

Thai Vocabulary:
ปัญหา (bpan-hǎa) – Problem
แก้ปัญหา (gɛ̂ɛ bpan-hǎa) – To solve a problem
สร้างปัญหา (sâang bpan-hǎa) – To cause a problem
ตัวปัญหา (dtua bpan-hǎa) – Troublemaker
หนีปัญหา (nǐi bpan-hǎa) – To run away from a problem

To finish, think about this: what problem are you solving for someone right now? And do you think problems are a good thing or a bad thing?
