Pollution

What’s the difference between มลพิษ (mon-lá-pít) and มลภาวะ (mon-lá-paa-wá)? Both are often translated as “pollution” in English, but Thai speakers use them in slightly different ways. This lesson explains the distinction, then explores the main types of pollution: air, water, soil, noise and light. Real-life examples include PM2.5 dust, chemical weed killers, loud concerts and laser shows. At the end, a five-question quiz tests what you’ve learned.
