Our Garden Home

It’s a beautiful Saturday afternoon, and the whole family decides to spend it gardening! Mum, Dad, Tim, Yim and Daisy each talk about what they’d like to plant, from chillies and mangoes to bananas and sunflowers, but not everyone is keen on watering plants. While Dad carefully draws up a plan and measures the garden, everyone else waits under a tree… and things don’t quite go to plan! Along the way, you’ll pick up Thai vocabulary for plants, fruit, gardening tools and telling the time.

Thai Vocabulary:
ปลูกต้นไม้ (bplùuk dtôn-mái) – To plant trees
รดน้ำต้นไม้ (rót náam dtôn-mái) – To water plants
ขี้เกียจ (khîi-gìat) – Lazy
ใบตอง (bai dtɔɔng) – Banana leaf
ดอกทานตะวัน (dɔ̀ɔk taan-dtà-wan) – Sunflower
ตลับเมตร (dtà-làp mét) – Tape measure

Learning Thai through stories helps you understand vocabulary in context and remember it more naturally. Enjoy the story!
