I Put Flowers in a Vase

Watch a vase of white flowers come together step by step in this Comprehensible Input lesson. The flowers are unwrapped from their newspaper, the rubber band comes off, the leaves and stems are trimmed with scissors, water is poured into the vase, and the flowers are placed one by one. Along the way, you’ll compare fresh and wilted flowers and learn when to use ก้าน (gâan) and when to use กิ่ง (gìng).

Thai Vocabulary:
แจกัน (jɛɛ-gan) – Vase
ดอกไม้สด (dɔ̀ɔk-máai sòt) – Fresh flowers
ดอกไม้เหี่ยว (dɔ̀ɔk-máai hìao) – Wilted flowers
ก้าน (gâan) – Stem
ใบไม้ (bai-máai) – Leaf
กรรไกร (gan-grai) – Scissors
ตัด (dtàt) – To cut

Seeing each action as you hear it helps you connect Thai words directly to their meaning, without needing to translate. Keep watching, keep listening, and enjoy your Thai journey!
