Hospital

What happens when you suddenly feel too dizzy to lie down, and you live alone on the fifth floor? This story in follows a trip to the hospital from start to finish: feeling sick while working, making it down the stairs holding the handrail, the security guard calling an ambulance, a crowded emergency room, and finally the doctor’s diagnosis. Along the way, you’ll hear useful Thai for describing symptoms, talking to nurses and doctors, and getting around a hospital.

Thai Vocabulary:
เวียนหัว (wian hǔa) – Dizzy
อ้วก (ûak) – To vomit
รถพยาบาล (rót pá-yaa-baan) – Ambulance
ห้องฉุกเฉิน (hɔ̂ng chùk-chə̌ən) – Emergency room

Stories from real life are a great way to pick up the words you’d need in the same situation. Listen closely, and you’ll be ready to explain how you feel in Thai!
