Computer
Learn the Thai you need to use a computer in this practical Easy Thai lesson! A laptop is explored piece by piece – the charger, screen, keyboard, mouse and mouse pad – with each part named and each action demonstrated as it happens. Watch and listen as buttons are pressed, the mouse is clicked, scrolled and lifted, batteries are swapped in a Bluetooth mouse, and a document is typed in Microsoft Word, right through to closing without saving and shutting down.
Thai Vocabulary:
แป้นพิมพ์ (bpɛ̂ɛn pim) – Keyboard
หน้าจอ (nâa jɔɔ) – Screen
เลื่อน (lʉ̂an) – To scroll / slide
เว้นวรรค (wén wák) – To leave a space
ปิดเครื่อง (bpìt krʉ̂ang) – To shut down
Because every word is paired with a real action, the vocabulary is easy to follow and remember. Try saying the Thai words out loud the next time you use your own computer!
