A Cold Day

What does a “cold” day in Thailand feel like? In this easy Thai story, a comfortable 29°C night suddenly turns chilly, and by 2 a.m. it’s time for a hat, scarf, gloves, socks and a thick blanket! Follow the day from the 5:40 alarm and the struggle between getting up to exercise or staying warm in bed, to thick morning fog, a motorbike ride to the library, and a funny moment when a foreigner looks perfectly comfortable while Thai people are bundled up at 21°C. Along the way, you’ll hear useful Thai for weather, temperature, telling the time, clothing and daily routines.

Thai Vocabulary:
อุณหภูมิ (un-hà-phuum) – Temperature
ผ้าห่ม (phâa hòm) – Blanket
หมอก (mɔ̀ɔk) – Fog

Learning Thai through stories helps you understand vocabulary in context and remember it more naturally. Keep listening and enjoy your Thai journey!
